After thirteen years on the VC campus, Mark Genjō Yorke graduated in 2009. While studying at the University of Oregon, he discovered Zen Buddhism and has now practiced with his teacher and community for ten years. Four years ago, Mark was ordained as a novice monk and has lived in training communities since then, a year of which was spent in several monasteries in Japan. He lives and practices at his home temple in Eugene and is preparing for a graduation ceremony in the Fall of this year.
